I think I have monsters living with me.
At first, I couldn’t find them,
And forever ago they seemed to only linger in the nighttime,
When night hits and sleep drifts to those with peaceful minds, I am dancing with demons, as they
delicately dissemble me with their daunting laughter,
they deceive and dangle me by my feet.
With hatred for eyes and sorrow for teeth,
The words they sing dripping and oozing with poison,
Reaching out and clawing at my throat
They begin humming the same awful chants.
“You are nothing
Succumb to nothing
I check under my beds, See nothing but empty darkness.
I thrash open my closet,
the scattered dark figures were nothing but clothes.
